Race information

All participants must follow the UCI and SPU rules as well as these instructions. Finnish Road Cup and Finnish Masters Cup rules are followed in the corresponding classes. All laws, regulations and orders by race officials and the police must be obeyed. All riders compete at their own risk and must have obtained their own personal insurances.

It is the responsibility of the team manager to pass this information to the other members of their team (riders, service car drivers, mechanics etc.).


1 Race headquarters
  - Race headquarters are located in the service building of the Ahvenisto Race Circuit.
  - Race office is in the blue cabin near the service building.
  - Result boards, dressing rooms and showers are in the race headquarters and in case of a bad weather the prize ceremonies are held there after the race.
 
2 Timetable
  - The race headquarters open at 8:30.
  - Meeting of the team managers is held at the race office at 9:00.
  - The first start is at 10:00.
  - The last start finishes at about 16:00.
  - Prize ceremonies are held at the finish immediately after each start has finished.
 
3 Classes and race distances
  - 1st start, at 10:00, 7 laps, 19 km: M-65, M-70, M-75, M-80, N-16, N-30, N-40, N-50
  - 2nd start, at 11:00, 11 laps, 30 km: Women, N-18, M-16, M-50, M-60
  - 3rd start, at 12:30, 15 laps, 41 km: Men's Race, M-40
  - 4th start, at 14:00, 25 laps, 69 km: Men's Elite, M-18
 
4 Route
  - The race is held at the Ahvenisto Racing Circuit track where there is no other traffic.
  - The start is at the end of the home straight. Riders start to the north-west.
  - The finish is at the highest poin of the track.
  - All riders ride the circuit counter-clockwise (observed from the pit area). The first lap is shorter than others and is finished when riders pass the finishing line for the first time.
 
5 Race numbers
  - Race numbers must be attached to the left side and to the small of the back. The numbers must be attached from each corner so that they lie flat and don't flap. The numbers must not be folded or cut. Frame number must be attached behind the seatpost so that it clearly visible from either side of the driver.
  - Race numbers shall be returned to the designated place in the race office.
  - If a number is damaged or not returned the rider's club or team will be charged a 50 Euros replacement fee.
 
6 Service and service cars
  - All service vehicles are forbidden.
  - There are marked areas on the finish climb and after sthe start line where technical support for the riders may be provided.
 
7 Equipment inspection
  - Bike measurement checks and weighing for all classes as well as gear ratio checking for classes M/N-16 and N/M-18 are performed at the start area. The riders are not allowed to leave the area after the check and before their starting time..
 
8 Start
  - The order of clubs and teams is drawn. Riders will be called to the start line by classes in ascending order based on their numbers.
  - Rider has to be in the start area at least five (5) minutes before the starting time of his or her class.
 
9 Finishing
  - Each start finishes when the winner of the start (regardless his or her class) has completed all the laps and all the riders have crossed the finish line.
  - If a rider is has been lapped (once or more times) he or she can continue riding until the winner of the start has finished..
  - The lap counter at the finish line shows the number of laps ridden by the leader ot the start. Bell is rang when the riders start their last lap. If the winner of the start passes a rider on the last lap tha passed rider finishes also whe he or she passes the finish line next time, even if the bell has not been rang to him or her.
  - The placement of a rider is based on the number of laps he or she has ridden and his or her order of finish.
 
10 Prizes
  - Three best riders of each class receive a prize. The prize ceremonies are held in the start area immediately after each start finishes.
11 Result service
  - The results are displayed on the result boards in the race office and also on Hämeenlinnan Tarmo website after each class has finished.
 
12 Medical service
  - Emergency medical service is available at the Central Hospital of Kanta-Häme, Ahvenistontie 20., (tel. 112).
