Race information

All participants must follow the UCI and SPU rules as well as these instructions. Finnish Road Cup and Finnish Masters Cup rules are followed in the corresponding classes. All laws, regulations and orders by race officials and the police must be obeyed. All riders compete at their own risk and must have obtained their own personal insurances.

It is the responsibility of the team manager to pass this information to the other members of their team (riders, service car drivers, mechanics etc.).


1 Race headquarters
  o Race headquarters are located in the premises of Kultakeskus Oy, Paroistentie 2.
  o Race office, result boards and buffet are in the race headquarters and the prize ceremonies are held there after the race.
  o Dressing rooms and showers for women are in the race headquarters but men's dressing rooms and showers are at the Punaportti gymnastic hall about 10 minutes' drive from the race headquarters (address is Hattelmalantie 25).
 
2 Timetable
  o The race headquarters open at 12:00.
  o Meeting of the team managers is held at the race office at 13:00.
  o The first rider starts at 14:00.
  o The last rider finishes at about 17:00.
  o Prize ceremonies are held in the race headquarters at about 17:30.
 
3 Race distances and courses
  o The following classes will ride 20 km: N/M-14, N/M-16 and N-18.
  o The following classes will ride 30 km: Men's Elite, Men's Race, Women, M-18, N/M-30, N/M-40, N/M-50, M-55, M-60, M-65, M-70, M-75 and M-80.
  o The start is on the road #130, in the corner of Tölkkimäentie.
  o All riders ride along Kalvolantie (road #130) to the north in the direction of Iittala.
  o Classes N/M-14, N/M-16 and N-18 ride about 10 km along the road then turn around and return back.
  o Classes Men's Elite, Men's Race, Women, M-18, N/M-30, N/M-40, N/M-50, M-55, M-60, M-65, M-70, M-75 and M-80 ride along the road about 15 km then turn around and return back.
  o The finish is at the same place as the start (road #130) at the corner of Tölkkimäentie.
 
4 Race numbers
  o Race number must be attached to the left side of the rider . The number must be attached from each corner so that it lies flat and doesn't flap. The number must not be folded or cut.
  o Race numbers shall be returned to the designated place in the race office.
  o If a number is damaged or not returned the rider's club or team will be charged 30 Euros replacement fee.
 
5 Start
  o The starting order of the classes belonging to the road cup or to the masters cup is based on the current standings in the cup. In each class the number one ranked will be starting last.
  o The starting order of the other classes is drawn.
  o Rider has to be in the start area at least five (5) minutes before his or her starting time.
  o Gear ratio checking for classes M/N-14, M/N-16 and N/M-18 and bike measurement checks for all classes are performed at the start area. The riders are not allowed to leave the area after the check and before their starting time.
 
6 Service
  o A service vehicle approved by the race commissaire may follow each rider.
  o The number of the serviced rider must be clearly visible on each service vehicle.
 
7 Result service
  o The results are displayed on the result boards in the race office and also on Hämeenlinnan Tarmo website after each class has finished. Unofficial results show up on the result page in near real time.
 
8 Prizes
  o The prize ceremonies are held in the race headquarters at about 17:30. The organizers reserve the right to change the time if needed.
  o Women and men's elite compete for the LEIJONA Challenge Cup from Kultakeskus Oy. Five wins (or three consecutive ones) are needed to the LEIJONA trophy permanently.
 
9 Medical service
  o Emergency medical service is available at the Central Hospital of Kanta-Häme, Ahvenistontie 20 (tel. 112).
 
10 Other instructions
  o All riders and vehicles must keep to the right side of the road if not otherwise instructed by the police or traffic guides.
